Families' questions

What ages do you take?

From 6 weeks to 5 years. The house has one mixed-age group, with up to 6 children and 1 adult.

Can I see the house before I decide?

Yes. Book a tour and come with your child. It takes about half an hour and you can ask anything, including about the storm plan.

What does it mean that the home is licensed?

That LDOE, the Louisiana Department of Education, licensed this house to care for a group of up to 6 children. The license number is at the bottom of every page.

How many children are here at once?

Up to 6 children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years, with 1 adult. The license and safety board says the same.

How does tuition work?

It depends on your child's age, the schedule and the days a week. Miss Nguyet gives you the figures in writing at the tour. Read how it works on the Tuition page.

What happens during hurricane season?

We watch the forecast, decide the evening before whether to close, and text every family. The plan, step by step, is on the Policies page, and it goes home to every family in May.

What if Miss Nguyet is ill?

We tell you before dawn so you can make a plan, and we help you think it through. It's why we ask every family for a second contact.

How do I join the waitlist?

Use the contact form or call. We write down your child's age and the days you need, and when a place opens we call the family that has waited longest.

Do you share photos of the children?

Not without your written permission, and you can change your answer at any time. The Policies page has the whole answer.

Do you speak Vietnamese?

Yes. Miss Nguyet talks with families in English and Vietnamese, and sings with the children in both. The forms and the website are in English.

Still have a question?

Write or call. Miss Nguyet answers once the children are down for their rest.
